Synopsis:

Today will most likely be the chilliest day of the season so far as Canadian high pressure noses in. The chill will continue on Tuesday as the sun will give way to increasing clouds.

Low pressure will form over the Southeast and move up the coast Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Rain will likely develop by dark Tuesday and continue into early Wednesday morning. The sun will return by late morning.

Sunshine will dominate on Thursday and Friday as unseasonably cold air funnels in from Canada courtesy of high pressure.

We are stuck in this cold pattern for quite some time, possibly as long as right before Thanksgiving.

Synopsis:

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday we around 70º, today it’ll be about twenty degrees cooler. A significant cold front has moved through. Weak low pressure will develop off the coast. This will result in scattered showers early this morning. It’ll becoming mostly sunny later this morning and winds will increase.

Monday will most likely be the chilliest day of the season so far as Canadian high pressure noses in. The chill will continue on Tuesday as the sun will give way to increasing clouds.

Another low will develop and move up the coast Wednesday. Showers are in the forecast for the first half of the day.

Sunshine will dominate on Thursday as the chill remains with a cold flow from the North.

Any morning clouds will give way to mainly sunny skies today. It’ll feel more like Spring as the area awaits a cooler push of air. Highs will be about fifteen degrees above the average highs of the mid 50s.

A cold front will move through the region tonight as weak low pressure develops off the coast. This will result in showers overnight into Sunday morning. Colder air will work in for Sunday as the flow comes from Canada . Monday will most likely be the chilliest day of the season so far. The chill will continue on Tuesday despite abundant sunshine as cold high pressure dominates.

Another low will develop and move up the coast Wednesday. Showers are in the forecast.

Synopsis:

A cool front will head our way for Veterans Day. In addition to this feature, a tropical low (once Nicole) will be moving up the coastal Piedmont. Rain will likely develop around midday and possibly become heavy at times late. Winds may become gusty toward evening. It will be very mild. Readings will be at least ten degrees higher than the average high of the mid 50s.

Areas of rain and gusty winds will continue tonight. It won’t be raining all the time but local downpours are likely. Over an inch of rain is possible, especially to the North and West of the City. Southerly winds will gusts to 45mph along the coast. It will be balmy tonight with readings remaining in the 60s with the tropical airmass in place from the leftovers of Nicole.

Rain will taper off Saturday morning. It’ll become partly sunny during the afternoon with temperatures feeling more like Spring.

Indian Summer will be with us one more day. High pressure well off the coast will continue to pump up warm air from the South. Our early June feel goes on. Temperatures will be well above the average highs of the mid and upper 50s (some areas by nearly twenty degrees). This will result in record high temperatures for many locations. The record high for Central Park for Monday is 78º set in 1938. This will be a tough reach, but many other areas will break their previous records. A cool front will move through by midday, but the cooler air is well behind the front. Abundant sunshine is expected.

Much colder readings will work in tonight. Yes, the furnace will click on. Temperatures will be almost twenty five degrees colder than last night!

Spotty showers can’t be ruled out, but much of the time will be dry.

The forecast through Monday will be a familiar one with warm readings. A cool front will move through by midday. An isolated shower is possible during the morning, otherwise skies will be mainly sunny.

Our unusual warm beginning to November continues. And it will only get warmer the next few days.

High pressure will move off the Northeast coast through this weekend. Temperatures will be well above the average highs of the upper 50s. The forecast through Monday will be a familiar one with warm readings as high pressure dominates. There maybe more clouds and fog both days this weekend but the sun will eventually shine. Record highs are possible on this weekend as many locations records are in the mid 70s.

Monday will be the last unseasonably warm day as a cold front approaches. Highs will get well into the 70s. The front will come through will little fan fare (dry).
