Rain Tapers Off This Evening. Some Sun Tuesday…

 

Synopsis:

The front that gave the area rain on Monday will move off the coast tonight. Any rain this evening will taper off.  Skies will remain mostly cloudy.

Tuesday will feature a mix of sun and clouds. A weak low to the South will move up and off the coast later Tuesday and Tuesday night. A bit of light rain may work into the area mainly to the South and East of I-95 later in the day and early Tuesday night. This is only a slight chance.

Wednesday will be dry and mild as we’ll be in between systems. An unsettled period is likely Thursday into Friday as the last in a series of low pressure systems affects the area. Occasional rain is likely Thursday. Spotty showers are possible Friday. There will be dry times.

The beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend looks decent with sunshine and warm readings on Saturday.

Synopsis:

Many systems will affect the tri-state area this week with a several chances of rain . It will not be a washout the entire week.

A front working into the area will result in steady and heavy to the South on NYC. Elsewhere, occasional rain is likely into the evening.

A brief break in the wet weather will occur Tuesday and Wednesday. An unsettled period is likely late week as an upper level low works into the region with a couple chances of showers or periods of rain. There will be dry times.

The beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend looks decent.

Synopsis:

High pressure will continue to push in from Eastern Canada today. This will result in a beautiful Sunday. Readings will be several degrees below average.

A front will move into the area on Monday with periods of rain. A brief break in the wet weather will occur Tuesday. An unsettled period is likely Wednesday and Thursday as an upper level low works into the region with a couple chances of showers.

Synopsis:

A welcome relief from the heat has arrived. High pressure will push in from Eastern Canada and cool the region off from the 90’s of the last three days to the 60’s this weekend. Morning clouds and spotty showers will give way to mostly sunny skies during the afternoon. Sunday will be cool under a mix of clouds and sun.

There are two chances of rain in the 5 day forecast-Monday and then on Wednesday. Readings will be near seasonal averages.

Much warmer times are in our future as we head through the week as a Bermuda high takes shape. Temperatures will pop to above average levels today. By Wednesday and Thursday it’ll feel like July with readings possibly reaching record highs on Thursday. No rain is expected.

Synopsis:

The slow moving storm that affect our weather this past weekend will continue to move East of Maine today. The difference in pressure between the low of the coast and high pressure over the Great Lakes will cause gusty wind. The winds will gust up to 35mph at times.  A mix of sun and clouds is expected. A few spotty showers may occur North and East of the City.

Much warmer times are in our future as we head through the week. A Bermuda high will result in Summer-like temperatures with readings possibly reaching record highs on Thursday.

Changeable Mother’s Day. Sun to Showers Back to Sun…

 

 

Synopsis:

The storm that affect our weather for the first half of the weekend will continue to move off the New England coast. Mother’s Day will feature morning clouds East of the City but the clouds will give way to several hours of sun throughout. An upper level disturbance will swing in from the Northwest from mid-day into the afternoon with scattered showers. It will be a very changeable afternoon as we’ll go from sun to a moderate shower within minutes. There may even be a rumble of thunder (FutureCast Cloud Cover/Radar above). To reiterate, the day will not be a washout and the sun will shine for a time!  Whew.

Much warmer times are in our future as we head into next week with readings getting well into the 80s.
