Synopsis:

High pressure will be in control through the weekend. At first, the high will keep the airmass over the region comfortable as it moves off the New England coast. But later in the weekend, the winds will turn to the South around the high and bring up an increasingly humid airmass. A few showers or storms are possible Saturday Night into early Sunday morning with a disturbance moving through.

It’ll be hot Sunday through Tuesday with readings around 90º.

Tropical Storm Chris is racing toward Newfoundland. Rough surf and dangerous rip currents will be the main concern for our area through tomorrow. Please swim by guarded beaches. If you get caught in a rip current-remain calm. Swim parallel to shore until you are freed from the rip current then swim back to the beach.

Hurricane Chris is a category 2 storm with winds of 100mph. The hurricane will continue to race off to the Northeast and move away from the East coast. Synopsis:

Finally, Relief will arrive from the uncomfortable conditions of the last seven days. Showers with a significant cool front will end from Northwest to Southeast early this afternoon. Skies will become mostly sunny later today for many areas. There will be a major drop in humidity through this afternoon and it will be pleasant to be outdoors later today.

Tonight will be refreshingly cool. The AC will get a well deserved break-comfortable sleeping weather to say the least.
