The Sun is Back…

 

Synopsis:

The sun will dominate today as high pressure builds over the Mid-Atlantic.

Clouds will roll in tonight with moisture moving in from the South.

On Friday a warm front will be nearby. A wave of low pressure will ride along the front. These features will cause clouds to dominate. Showers are possible, especially in the morning.

The weekend doesn’t look stellar. The front will continue to be to our South. Saturday looks to start off dry but showers are likely for the afternoon.  The best chance for showers will be Sunday with the front and area of low pressure moving through.

Grey Wednesday. Spot Shower. Mainly South…

 

Synopsis:

It’ll be a grey Wednesday. A storm will move off the North Carolina coast. This system will be far enough offshore to spare the region a widespread steady rain. Spotty showers are possible mainly to the South of the City. The majority of the region will be dry. The best chance for steadier rain looks to be parts of Ocean County.

The sun will return Thursday and tranquil conditions are expected through Friday along with slightly above average temperatures. A few spotty showers are possible Friday.

The weekend doesn’t look stellar. Saturday looks like the better of the two days. A warm front will be to our South. If the front stays far enough to the South it will be shower free. If it moves farther North it may end up being wet. The best chance for showers will be Sunday with the front and area of low pressure moving through.

Synopsis:

Clouds will give way to sun today as high pressure moves in from the Midwest.

Another round of rain will occur on Wednesday with low pressure over the Ohio Valley moving to the East. Well to the North little if any rain may fall. The heaviest and steadiest rain will fall to the South of the City.

The sun will return Thursday and tranquil conditions are expected through Friday along with slightly above average temperatures.

The weekend will start of with showers as low pressure once again moves in from the West.

Raw Monday-Rain. Spring Wet Snow Well Inland…

Synopsis:

A storm will intensify off the Mid-Atlantic coast today. Periods of rain is expected (could be a bit of wet snow at the onset over the nearby ‘burbs). Well inland, a mix of wet snow and rain is likely. The potential for some accumulation exists, especially over the high elevations and colder surfaces well inland.  Potential snow amounts are above. Not a big deal for 90% of the NYC tri-state area. The heaviest rain will fall along the coast.

The rain will taper off this evening as the storm moves North and East.

The sun will return Tuesday as high pressure moves in from the Midwest.

Another round of rain will occur on Wednesday with low pressure over the Ohio Valley moving to the East.

Clouds will thicken tonight as the next system begins to affect our area from the South and West.

On Monday a storm will develop off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Rain will develop along the coast during the morning (could be a bit of wet snow at the onset). Inland a mix of wet snow and rain is likely. First Weekend of Spring-Tranquil & Cool…

Synopsis:

Bright and cooler weather will be with us for the first weekend of Spring. Strong high pressure will settle over the Northeast. Clouds will give way to sun today.

Tonight will be cold with most areas at or below freezing.

Abundant sunshine and below average temperatures are expected for Sunday.

On Monday a storm will develop off the Mid-Atlantic coast. Rain will develop along the coast (could be a bit of wet snow at the onset). Inland a mix of wet snow and rain is likely. The potential for some accumulation exists. JMW will fine tune possible amounts later today.

Synopsis:

***Happy Spring*** A warm front over the area this morning is responsible for the areas of fog and showers. Once this front swings through by late morning balmy conditions are expected with readings rapidly getting into the 70s with a Southwest wind. It will be much cooler closer to the ocean. A mix of sun and clouds is expected later this afternoon along with spotty showers as a cool front approaches.

Bright and cooler weather will greet us for the weekend due to strong high pressure over the Northeast.

Monday’s forecast all depends on the track of a developing storm off the Mid-Atlantic coast. If the storm is close enough rain and even some wet snow is possible. If the storm stays offshore little if any precipitation will fall.

The low that gave us the quick shot of heavy rain last night has moved out to sea. These last few hours of Winter will be grey with a few scattered showers. Spring arrives at 11:50PM EDT tonight.

Much warmer conditions are expected by Friday with readings getting into the 70s with a Southwest wind. It will be much cooler closer to the ocean. A mix of sun and clouds is expected along with spotty showers as a cool front approaches.
