Synopsis:
Today will feature a warm front moving toward the region. Mainly cloudy skies are expected. Scattered showers and storms are possible just about anytime. You’ll notice an increase in the humidity. Some of the storms may become strong to severe over Southern sections. Torrential rain is possible. We’ll need to keep an eye out for flooding. A Flood Watch has been posted for the entire tri-state area through Wednesday. 1-2″ of rain is expected for Southern areas. Northern areas have the potential to pick up several inches of rain. Never drive through flooded roadways. Turn around-Don’t drown.
Low pressure will develop in our vicinity and be slow to move out Wednesday and Thursday. Areas of rain are likely North and East of the City Wednesday with scattered showers elsewhere. Thursday scattered showers are in the forecast. It will not be a washout.
Friday and Saturday will feature more sun as the system finally moves far enough offshore to allow for mainly sunny skies. Temperatures will still be tolerable.
