Areas of Snow Monday…

Synopsis:.

Low pressure will move from West to East across the Mid-Atlantic today. Our region will be on the Northern edge of snow shield. The forecast is calling for some light snow. The snow begins between mid-morning and ends during the afternoon. This doesn’t look to be a significant storm for most. The highest accumulations will be over Southern NJ. Northern areas may not even see the flakes. The potential snow amount graphic is above. Last call amounts are posted above. Some areas may get to see some late day sun.

The sun will return on Tuesday and the cold will remain with us through Thursday. Low pressure over Eastern Canada and high pressure over mid-section of the country is the culprit behind the continuation of gusty winds through the period.

There is already chatter about a snowstorm on Saturday. Please, please don’t listen to all the hype. There is potential storm development around the East coast during that timeframe. The placement of the low and where it goes is anybody’s guess at this time. The latest computer guidance suggests this system will be too far offshore to affect our region. Models have been flip flopping.

Stay tuned.
