Synopsis:.
Our bright, breezy and cold weekend continues. Winds will add a bite as strong low pressure over Eastern Canada continues to influence our weather. Temperatures will be several degrees below average on Sunday. The average high is 40º.
On Monday, low pressure will move from West to East across the Mid-Atlantic. Our region will be on the Northern edge of snow shield. The forecast is calling for some light snow. The snow begins between 7am-9am and ends early in the afternoon. This doesn’t look to be a significant storm for most. The highest accumulations will be over Southern NJ. The potential snow amount graphic is above. These amounts are not etched in stone and will most likely be adjusted as we get closer to the event.
The sun will return on Tuesday and the cold will remain with us through Thursday. Low pressure over Eastern Canada and high pressure over mid-section of the country is the culprit behind the continuation of gusty winds through the period.
There is already chatter about a snowstorm on Saturday. Please, please don’t listen to all the hype. There is potential storm development around the East coast during that timeframe. The placement of the low and where it goes is anybody’s guess at this time. Keep it here.
Stay tuned.
Keep it here for a no nonsense, no hype forecast.
