Nicer Feel Wednesday- Into the 40s!

Synopsis:

A “better feel” would be a good way to describe today as temperatures rise several degrees above the average high of 38º under a mix of sun and clouds. A southwest wind will be responsible for our brief warm-up.

Clouds will increase tonight as the next system heads our way.

Thursday morning’s cold front looks more robust with the latest computer models. Precipitation will be steadier and slightly heavier than earlier outlooks. It will be cold enough that most of what falls will be snow. A period of light snow is now in the forecast for Thursday morning. The potential is there for 1″-3″ of snow by midday. Readings will start off the in the mid 30s but tumble into the upper 20s by mid to late afternoon as another bitter blast works in. The sun will return during the afternoon.

We’re back in the freezer on Friday. Despite abundant sunshine readings will remain in the 20s.

Saturday will feature a storm developing off the mid-Atlantic coast. As of this writing the potential of light snow is in the forecast for coastal areas and I’m being generous here. It maybe snow-free throughout our region. Many of the models continue with the storm totally missing us and the latest European has headed in that direction. It will be bitter on Saturday with readings remaining in the 20s.

Sunday will feature more sun behind the departing system as we attempt to crack the freezing mark.

Monday will be more tolerable with readings getting above 32º.
