On & Off Rain Today. Unseasonably Chilly…

Synopsis:

The forecast is a raw one for the Memorial Day weekend, with maybe a glimmer of hope at the tail end. It will be unseasonably chilly with readings in the 50s and 60s through Monday. On and off rain is now expected thorough Memorial Day morning. Two areas of low pressure will affect the region. Forget the beach and maybe spark up the fireplace.

Additional rainfall of 1″-3″ is expected with the jackpot zone along the coast.

The first low will move offshore during the day today. On and off rain is expected with breezy conditions. A raw day to say the least.

The second area of low pressure will develop off the Maryland coast and move Northeast slowly tonight into Monday. Unfortunately, the latest computer guidance has the low stalling in our vicinity. For this reason, I had to put showers in the forecast for Memorial Day morning. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we can get that barbecue in by afternoon. We need high pressure in Southeastern Canada t0 funnel drier air. If this occurs the sun should make an appearance for the second half of the day.

Of course, drastic improvements will occur on Tuesday, June 1st. Sunshine and comfortable readings are expected.

Stay tuned.

Keep it here for a no nonsense, no hype forecast.
