Hot/Humid Saturday. PM Strong to Severe Storms…

Synopsis:

Today will be the hottest day of this warm spell. Temperatures will reach into the lower 90s away from the coast. The heat index will be in the mid to upper 90s. At the same time a cool front will be approaching. Scattered showers and storms are likely later in the day. Some of the storms maybe severe. Keep an eye to the sky for threatening weather after 2PM. Severe thunderstorms contain the following criteria: winds in excess of 58mph and or one inch hail.

The front will clear the coast tonight. Sunday will be a more comfortable day with lower temperatures and humidity levels. Upper level energy will swing through during the afternoon. Stray showers and thunderstorms are possible with this feature. The greatest chance will be North and East of the City.

July’s debut (on Monday) will be a winner. Mostly sunny and warm temperatures are anticipated.

Warm readings will stick around and the weather should cooperate as we head into the July 4th holiday.

Stay tuned.
