Areas of Drizzle, Light Rain Tonight. Steady Rain Arrives Midday Monday

Synopsis:

We’ve experienced round 1 of the rain on Mother’s Day as a weak low moved off the coast to our South. On and off areas of drizzle and light rain will continue tonight into Monday morning.

Another low will develop just East of Delaware midday Monday and move Northeast to South of Montauk Point by Monday evening. Steadier rain will move in around midday and during the afternoon. The rain maybe heavy at times. Additional rainfall amounts of a half inch to an inch is possible. Flooding is a concern where the rain amounts are the highest.

Spotty showers are expected Tuesday as the upper level low moves through.

Wednesday will be the best day out of the bunch. We’ll dry out under partly sunny skies.

The shower threat returns Thursday as a front swings through. We’ll dry out Friday as high pressure moves in.

Stay tuned.
