Better Half of the Weekend-Today. Wet Mother’s Day…

Synopsis:

Mother’s Day Weekend will be a 50/50 split. Today will be the better half of the weekend with mainly sunny skies as high pressure noses in from upstate NY. Unfortunately, Mother’s Day looks to be wet. Low pressure will move up from the Southern Appalachians. On & off rain is likely. To make matters worse it will be unseasonably cool. Temperatures will be in the lower to mid 50s. A raw day indeed. I need to make this Mother’s Day extra special; as I am not delivering the forecast mom wants to hear!

Right behind this system another low will follow with more rain likely for Monday. Yep, Spring in the Northeast.

The potential is there for one to three inches of rain. Flooding is a concern where the rain amounts are the highest.

Slow improvement will arrive later Tuesday and Wednesday.

Stay tuned.
