Much Warmer Today. Clouds, Peeks of Sun. Scattered Showers…

Synopsis:

A warm front will move North through most of the region today. Scattered showers are expected but there should be some times of sun. If we get enough sun readings could pop into the 70s. Readings North and East of the City will be much cooler. Spotty thunderstorms are possible later today and this evening with a weak front passing the area.

Mother’s Day Weekend will be a 50/50 split. Saturday will be the better half of the weekend with mainly sunny skies as high pressure noses in from upstate NY. Unfortunately, Mother’s Day looks to be wet. Low pressure will move up from the Southern Appalachians. On & off rain is likely. The GFS is now caving toward the European. Rain is likely Sunday. The rain looks to lighten up during the afternoon. I need to make this Mother’s Day extra special; as I am not delivering the forecast mom wants to hear!

Right behind this system another will follow with more rain likely for Monday. Yep, Spring in the Northeast.

Stay tuned.

Keep it here for a no nonsense, no hype forecast.
