Winter Arrives Wednesday with Little Bark…

 

Synopsis:

Winter arrived today at 5:44AM EST, this is the exact time when the sun’s rays are over the Tropic of Capricorn. This is also the day where daylight is at it’s least.  The season will arrive with little bark as temperatures will be above average with plenty of sunshine.  In fact, much of the country will experience mild weather.  Take a look at the temperature map above.

The weather pattern will tranquil as high pressure will continue the main weather feature. No major storms are on the horizon as we head into the Hanukkah and Christmas weekend. Light rain or snow showers is expected Christmas Eve Day as a quickly moving system works through.

Tonight:

Partly cloudy.  Lows in the mid 30s in the City, the 20s  inland. Light Southwest wind.

Thursday:

Sun and clouds, breezy.   Highs in the mid 40s.

Friday:

Sunny. Highs in the mid 40s.

Saturday (Christmas Eve, Hanukkah begins):

A period of wet snow and or rain otherwise mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower to mid 40s.

Christmas Day:

Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 40s.
