Heat is Back. Humidity is Up. Spotty Late Day Severe Storm…

Synopsis:

The heat will make a return visit today. Readings once again will feel like a day out of July as a southwesterly flow around a Bermuda high takes hold. It will the most humid it’s been so far this year. Spotty storms are possible by late day as a cool front approaches. Some of the storm may turn isolated severe, especially away from the coast (map above). Severe thunderstorms contain winds in excess of 58mph and or large hail. Not all areas will get into the action.

The warm weather will stick into Thursday, but it’ll be much less humid. The sun will dominate.

Cooler Readings are expected for the end of the week with a wind off the Atlantic. An area of low pressure should give us some much needed rain by Friday afternoon and night.

The offshore low pressure system will pull away swiftly on Saturday. What this means is that morning showers should give way to increasing sunshine during the afternoon! Highs pressure in Southeastern Canada should funnel in enough dry air for a decent two thirds of the weekend. Sunday and Monday at this time look mainly sunny and comfortable!  The only computer model keeping the low close to the coast and stalling is the European. Hopefully this is wrong, as all the other models have decent weather. Readings will be cooler than the average high of the mid 70s, but who’s complaining?!

Stay tuned.

Keep it here for a no nonsense, no hype forecast.
