Record Heat Today…

 

Synopsis:

A Bermuda high will continue to influence our weather today. This will result in a Summer preview with readings possibly reaching record highs under hazy skies. The humidity will be high adding to the discomfort.

A cool front will move through late Friday basically rain-free, but before it does it’ll still feel like Summer. The weekend will be more seasonal with plenty of sunshine. Temperatures will be twenty five degrees cooler. A gem of a weekend is on the way.

Today:

Hazy, hot and humid with record highs possible. High 91º. The record for Central Park is 90º set back in 1936. Readings may reach the mid 90s over inland NJ. It will be slightly cooler at the shore. Southwest winds at 10-2omph.

Tonight:

Partly cloudy, very warm.  Lows near 70º in the City, the 60s inland. Southwest winds 8-12mph.

Friday:

Very warm, but not as humid. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Saturday:

Mostly sunny and much cooler. Highs around 70º.

Sunday:

Mostly sunny, cool. Highs in the upper 60s.

Monday:

Sun and clouds with scattered showers. Highs in the mid 70s.
