Areas of Snow into the Evening. Sun Returns Sunday…

Synopsis:

Areas of snow this evening will taper off as the weak impulse moves off the coast.  A coating is possible in spots. Skies will become partly cloudy. Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine as high pressure moves in.

Looking down the pike the weather pattern will look more like Spring with a ridge of high pressure off the Southeast coast. This is not a pattern conducive to snow along the East coast. Mild temperatures are expected the next seven to ten days.  Showers are likely Tuesday into Wednesday.

Tonight:

Areas of snow this evening, otherwise becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 20s in the City, near 20º inland. Southeast to Northwest wind at 5-10mph.

Sunday:

Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 40s. Northwest wind at 8-12mph.

Monday (MLK Day):

Sunny and mild with highs in the mid 40s.

Tuesday:

More clouds than sun with a few showers. Mild. Highs in the mid to upper 40s.

Wednesday:

Morning showers. Becoming partly sunny with above average temperatures. Highs in the lower 50s.

Thursday:

Partly sunny.  Readings will be about ten degrees above the normal. Highs in the upper 40s.
