Synopsis:
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for parts of NJ through Monday. It won’t take much rainfall to cause flooding to occur over the watch area as many regions received 2″-6″ of rain over the weekend. Please use caution. If you encounter a flooded roadway- TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN. The weak low pressure over the Mid-Atlantic combined with a very humid and saturated airmass will cause on and off showers and thunderstorms through Monday. Pockets of torrential rain is possible. It won’t be raining all the time.
High pressure will finally move in from the West and dry us out for Tuesday. Nice conditions are expected through Friday. Some decent weather is on the way for the beginning of August-meaning no heat wave.
Tonight:
Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Some of the rain could be heavy at times. Muggy. Lows in the lower 70s in the City, upper 60s inland. East wind at 5mph.
Monday:

Tuesday:
Mostly sunny with readings in the lower 80s.
Wednesday:
Sunny with highs in the lower 80s.
Thursday:
