Synopsis:

Cooler sunshine will greet us today courtesy of high pressure from Eastern Canada. Readings will be five to seven degrees below the average high of 57º.

Skies will be grey on Thursday as a weak low moves through the Mid-Atlantic. A spotty shower is possible along with a peek of sun.

The week should close on a dry note on Friday with high pressure moving in from the West. More clouds than sun is expected.

Veterans’ Day on Saturday will be cool but bright. We thank those that have kept our freedom alive! There’ll be a nip in the air on Sunday as Canadian high pressure settles over the area.

Synopsis:

Today will be around ten degrees warmer than Thursday. You’ll notice the difference. Readings will be near the average high of 58º under plenty of sunshine as high pressure settles over the East coast.

The first weekend of November will be a winner with abundant sunshine. Readings will be at or above average. A simple forecast and one without rain in the forecast!

It’s time to “Fall Back” Saturday night. Turn the clocks back one hour before hitting the hay. Eastern Daylight Time will end at 2AM and Eastern Standard Time will resume. We gain an hour of sleep! Sunrise will be an hour earlier Sunday, and sunset set will occur an hour earlier. Yep, darker earlier. It’s also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

The beginning of next week will be tranquil as high pressure dominates. A weak front will approach later Tuesday with the threat of a few showers.

The best concentration of this looks to be in the NYC vicinity and to the North and East. It’ll be cold with a gusty wind as the sun returns for many during the afternoon.

Trick or treaters will be dry this Halloween as cool air funnels down from the North. A mix of sun and clouds is expected with high pressure nosing in from the Northwest. There’ll be a nip in the air for sure.

A coastal storm will be develop well offshore tonight and Wednesday. On and off showers are in the forecast though early afternoon Monday. Temperatures will be near seasonable levels of around 60º. To the South of the City a warm push of air may send temperatures will into the 60s and 70s. This is a low potential but needs to be mentioned. By late day temperatures will drop and the sun may make an appearance.

Synopsis:

It’s a shocker walking outdoors this Sunday. Say goodbye to 80º of yesterday and hello to the 50s and times of showers today. This is all do to a much cooler flow coming out of New England with a frontal boundary to our South. The steadiest rainfall today will be from NYC and to the North. Father to the South the showers will be more widely scattered.

Scattered showers are expected overnight.

The front will get hung up over the region on Monday. A few showers are possible under a mostly cloudy sky.

On Halloween a significant cooldown is expected with dry conditions.

Wednesday’s coastal storm now looks to be farther offshore with the latest computer guidance. This will result in a drier output. A few showers are possible. Clouds will most likely give way to some sun during the afternoon. There will definitely be a nip in the air for this first day of November.
