Synopsis:
High pressure will move off the Northeast coast through Saturday. Sun and high clouds are expected with pleasant temperatures.
On Sunday moisture will move up from the South. Periods of rain are likely as the remnants of tropical system Isaias moves up the spine of the Appalachians. The on and off rain should continue into the night. At this time, it doesn’t look like a major event for our area concerning rainfall or high winds. Over an inch of rain is possible with gusty winds up to 35mph along the coast Sunday afternoon and evening.
The system should move out by sunrise Monday. Any clouds and early showers will give way to sun.
A mix of sun and clouds is expected for Tuesday along with mild temperatures. Scattered showers are possible by late afternoon.
Cooler air will move in for Wednesday under a bright sky.
Stay tuned.
