Synopsis:

A Bermuda high will remain nearly stationary into early next week. The heat and humidity will be the main story under a mix of sun and clouds. The heat index will be near 100º today. A Heat Advisory is in effect for much of the region.

Keep an eye to the sky for threatening weather after 5pm today. Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible.

The weekend will be hot and humid. Scattered late day and evening storms are possible Saturday. Sunday looks storm-free.

The heat will continue into early nest week.
