Gusty Winds Thursday…

Synopsis:.

Gusty winds will be the story for the next few days.  Low pressure over Southeastern Canada and high pressure over the Southeast will create a strong pressure gradient. This translates to gusty winds. Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds with readings just above the seasonal high of 40º.

Friday through the weekend will be cold with the sun dominating. Winds will still be busy but not as strong as today. Temperatures will fall to below average and remain just above freezing for daytime highs.

On Monday, low pressure will move from West to East across the Mid-Atlantic. Our region will be on the Northern edge of snow shield. The forecast is calling for some light snow. It is way too early to talk accumulations, but this doesn’t look to be a significant storm. The highest accumulations will be over Southern NJ. JMW will continue to monitor trends for any Northern adjustment in the potential snow amounts.

Stay tuned.
