Synopsis:
A developing low on a front moving in from the West will result in thickening clouds today. Spotty showers are expected during the morning (many areas will remain dry). During the afternoon, the threat of showers and pockets of steadier rain will increase. It will be unseasonably cool.
The low will have cold air to work with so there is a potential of the rain going over to wet snow for a time inland tonight. Coastal areas may have a few flakes mixed in with the rain. A coating is possible over the highest elevations well North of the City. Simply amazing for May. Skies will become partly cloudy late tonight. It will be cold. Readings throughout will be in the 30s.
Mother’s Day weekend will be Fall-like. Saturday will be windy and very cold for this time of the year. Temperatures will be hard pressed to reach 50º. The gusty winds will add a bite with feels-like readings only in the 40s. Spotty showers are possible. A few May flakes may also fly.
Mother’s Day will be more tranquil but it will still be unseasonably chilly with a mix of sun and clouds. I’m only the messenger mom.
Next week will start off a bit unsettled with a disturbance moving in from the West. A few showers are possible Monday. Tuesday will be bright and cool.
