Becoming Mostly Sunny. Quick Hit of Light Snow Late Tonight…

Synopsis:

Three systems will affect the region the next four days. Two will be minor, the last could be more significant.

Skies will become mainly sunny today as high pressure works in. Readings will be just below the average high of 44º.

Tonight and early Friday morning, another weak disturbance (system #1) will skirt the area from the South. A period of light snow or snow showers is expected-FutureCast radar above. A coating to an inch is possible. The light snow will end during the early morning hours. A mix of sun and clouds is expected for the first day of March.

System #2 will affect the area Saturday as a low develops off the coast. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with showers of rain or snow at times, again not a big deal.

Sunday will start off with sun, but clouds will increase and thicken during the day. A storm will track up from the South (system 3). Showers are likely to develop during the afternoon. The track of the system is uncertain Sunday night. The GFS has a colder snowier solution with its latest run-an offshore solution. The European model takes the storm over the area. Taken verbatim this model would give the majority of the region rain with a mix inland. At this time, the potential for an accumulation of snow is greatest inland. The storm will move away early Monday with any snow or mix ending during the early morning. Stay tuned.
