The heat will continue today despite a weakening area of high pressure over the East coast. There isn’t a a strong enough flow from the Northwest for a significant cool down. Today will be day 7 of the heat wave for most areas and our stretch of 90º+ should last into tomorrow.
A disturbance on Friday moving in from the Southwest should put a halt to the heat wave as showers and storms are possible.
Today:
Mostly sunny and Hot. Highs will around 90º. Northeast to South wind at 5-10mph.
Tonight:
Mostly clear and comfortable. Lows in the lower to mid 70s in the City, 60º-70ºinland. South wind at 5mph.
Thursday:
Partly sunny, hot and more humid. Isolated storms are possible later in the day. Highs once again around 90º. This will be the last day of this current heat wave.
Friday:
Sun and clouds with scattered storms. Highs in the mid 80s.
Saturday:
Hazy, very warm and humid. It should remain storm-free. Highs in the mid to upper 80s.
