Scattered showers are possible this morning with an isolated storm threat this afternoon. Thursday will be bright and storm-free. On Friday another round of showers and storms are possible. This day is the greatest threat day. Readings will be near the seasonable average of the mid to upper 80s.

The weekend will make most smile. Drier conditions are expected with the sun dominating both days as high pressure builds over the area. A winner for sure!

A welcome change to drier conditions is expected for Monday. Bright, hot and smokey conditions are anticipated as weak high pressure develops over the region. Smoke from the Canadian wildfires will affect our region once again. Readings will be about five degrees above the average high of 85º.

Typical July conditions will continue Tuesday through Friday under a mix of sun and clouds as a weak disturbance sits over the region. A late day storm threat is possible on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. It will not be a washout.

Synopsis:

The weather pattern through Sunday is conducive for areas of torrential rain and thunderstorms. A Flood Watch and a moderate risk for excessive rain is in the forecast. Weak low pressure, very humid air and a disturbance in the atmosphere will result in the potential for up to a few to several inches of rain through this evening. Many areas are saturated from previous rainfall so it won’t take much for areas to flood. If you encounter a flooded roadway- Turn around don’t drown. You never know how deep the water is. Any scattered areas of rain or storms will end later this evening.

On Monday we’ll dry out. Bright, hot conditions are anticipated as weak high pressure develops over the region. Readings will be about five degrees above the average high of 85º.

Hazy, hot and humid conditions will continue today as high pressure off the coast will be responsible for our sticky conditions. Readings will be at least five degrees above the average high of 85º.

A mix of sun and clouds is expected for Friday as a weak disturbance approaches. It won’t be as hot. Scattered storms are possible during the evening mainly West of the City.

The weekend looks like a 50/50 split. Saturday will be decent under a mix of sun and clouds. Another low pressure disturbance will approach the region on Sunday. The day looks to start dry, but showers and storms are likely by afternoon. Both days will be seasonable.

A few scattered showers are possible on Monday but it doesn’t look like a washout.

The beginning of the 4th of July weekend on Saturday looks like a winner. A mix of sun and clouds is expected. Readings will be near the average high of 84º. A warm front will approach the region tonight and Sunday. This feature will spark scattered showers and storms Saturday night into early Sunday morning. Sunday will not be a washout with only a few showers expected during the afternoon. It will most likely be the cloudiest day of the 4 day holiday weekend. There will be a noticeable increase in humidity.

A low pressure disturbance will cause scattered showers and storms Sunday night and then again Monday night. Most of Monday should feature hazy sun and much warmer readings.

The 4th of July forecast on Tuesday will make most smile. The disturbance should move out to sea leaving the area with a bright sky and hot, humid conditions. Many areas will take a run at 90º.
