Synopsis:

Today through Thursday will be more tranquil with milder readings as high pressure over the Southeast takes control. There will definitely be a Spring feel in the air! Readings will feel like May by Thursday.

A weak front will push into the area on Friday with more clouds and possibly a few light showers, but it will still be mild!

The mild stretch will continue into Saturday under a mix of sun and clouds.

Synopsis:

The wind will be the story through today as low pressure over Maine and high pressure over the South will result in strong winds. Today will feature a mix of sun and clouds. Winds could gusts in excess of 50mph. Readings will be seasonable in the upper 40s but the wind will definitely add a bite. The winds will slowly abate tonight.

Tuesday through Thursday will be more tranquil with milder readings as high pressure takes control. There will definitely be a Spring feel! Readings will feel like May by Thursday.

Synopsis:

The storm that gave the region a wet start to the weekend will move into New England today and strengthen considerably. This will cause winds to increase and become strong out of the Northwest. A mix of sun and clouds is expected. Scattered rain and snow showers are possible as an upper level low swings through. Temperatures will drop through the 40s during the day. Average highs are in the upper 40s. Winds will gusts up to 40mph later in the day.

The blustery conditions will continue on Monday and the chill will remain. Winds could gust in excess of 50mph.

Synopsis:

Low pressure number three of this week will move into the area this afternoon through  tonight with more rain. A Flood Watch has been posted for areas West and South of the City. Between one and two inches of rain may cause local flooding of streets and streams. The rain will begin during the early to mid afternoon timeframe and become heavy for a time through the evening and early night hours.

The storm will move into New England on Sunday and strengthen considerably. This will cause winds to increase and become strong out of the Northwest. A mix of sun and clouds is expected. Scattered rain and snow showers are possible. Temperatures will drop through the 40s during the day. Average highs are in the upper 40s.

Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday at 2am. Don’t forget to set the clocks ahead one hour before you hit the hay Saturday night. We lose an hour of sleep but get an hour more of daylight in the evening! It’s also a good reminder to change your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Low pressure will move up our coastline though early tonight with periods of heavy rain. A Flood Watch has been posted for a good chunk of the area. One to three inches of rain will cause local flooding of streets, low lying areas, creeks and streams. Never drive through a flooded roadway- TURN AROUND-DON’T DROWN. You can’t judge how deep that water is. The jackpot area looks to be Long Island for the heaviest rainfall. The rain will taper off from South to North within a few hours either side of midnight.

The low will move out of our area before sunrise on Thursday. Other than a morning spotty shower the day now looks to be rain-free with clouds dominating. If we’re lucky we’ll get to see a bit of sun.

The clouds will win the battle on Monday as a marine influence takes hold of our region. High pressure over the Canadian Maritimes will be responsible for our wind off the ocean. Temperatures will still remain well above the average highs of the mid 40s.

There will be a brief break on Wednesday morning but rain will roll in later in the day. The area may very well receive a couple inches of rain through this period.
