Midweek Delight…

 

Synopsis:

It’ll be a midweek delight courtesy of high pressure over the Northeast. A mostly sunny sky is expected. Readings will be a few degrees below average on this Wednesday. The average highs are in the lower to mid 80s.

On Thursday, a warm front will move toward the region. Clouds will dominate and showers are likely. Friday will feature a shower threat with the front over the region. It’ll become increasingly more humid.

By Saturday most of the moisture looks to clear the coast. At this time, JMW is keeping it dry with a mix of sun and clouds. The weather should cooperate for Sunday as well with high pressure nosing in from Eastern Canada. Readings both days will be at comfortable levels.

Today and Wednesday will feel like early Fall as high pressure originating in Canada moves our way. Readings will remain in the 70s with a refreshing breeze today. The average highs are in the lower to mid 80s. The sun will dominate.

Tonight’s lows will be well down in the 50s in the Northwestern ‘burbs.

On Thursday, a warm front will move toward the region. Clouds will dominate and showers are possible. Friday will feature a shower threat with the front over the region.

Synopsis:

A cool front will be responsible for scattered showers early this morning. It will be more of a humidity buster with levels coming way down. A mix of sun and clouds is expected and it’ll be breezy- a refreshing change for August.

An upper low over Northern New England of Saturday will result in a dry Northwest flow and much more comfortable conditions under a mix of sun and clouds. It’ll be cooler with very low humidity levels. A great feel for sure! Abundant sunshine is expected for Sunday with warming temperatures as high pressure builds over the region. Back to Summer.

Synopsis:

Low pressure and it’s associated fronts will work into the tri-state area through Tuesday night. A quick punch (think 3-6 hours) of heavy rain and storms is likely overnight between 11pm and 5am. Some areas not get into the intense rainfall rates (map above). With the potential of torrential rain, a Flood Watch has been posted for the entire area. Never drive through a flooded roadway. You don’t know how deep the water is. Turnaround, don’t drown.
