Hazy, Hot & Humid Thursday…

Synopsis:

August’s debut will be a hot one. A humid airmass will be over the region as well courtesy of a Bermuda high. The sun will be a constant for your Thursday.

Isolated afternoon storms are possible Friday and into the weekend as a weak disturbance sits over the region. The majority of the time will be dry. Hazy sun, very warm and humid conditions are anticipated. The dog days of August are upon us!

Humidity Increases…

Synopsis:

A humid airmass will be over the region the next several days courtesy of a Bermuda high. Hazy, warm conditions are expected with a spotty storm possible through midweek. It’ll become hot as we turn the calendar page to August on Thursday. Isolated afternoon storms are possible Friday and Saturday and the heat will stick around.

Spectacular Saturday…

Synopsis:

The last weekend of July will be a winner. High pressure over the region will keep our skies mainly sunny and humidity levels will remain low. Readings will be near the seasonal averages of the mid 80s.

Low pressure over the ocean well East of the NJ coast will inch closer to the region Sunday night and Monday. Clouds from this system will move in. A spot shower is possible, but the majority of the time will be dry.

The low will move out to sea Monday night and Tuesday. A more humid flow will establish itself around a Bermuda high for the mid week period. Hazy, warm conditions are expected with a spotty storm possible.

A mix of clouds and sun is expected for Thursday. The humidity will be still on the high side but lower some by days end. An isolated shower or storm is possible at the coast and to the South. The majority of the day will be dry.

Synopsis:

It’ll be a top ten day. Plenty of sunshine with low humidity will make for a fine Friday as high pressure influences our area from the North and West.

The weekend looks decent. Saturday will feature clouds from time to time. An isolated shower is possible but most areas will be dry. Sunday will be the brighter of the two days. Readings will be near the seasonable averages of the mid 80s.

The humidity will creep back up on Monday as the Bermuda high starts influencing our weather. The chance of scattered afternoon storms will be introduced on Tuesday. Most of the day will be dry under partly sunny skies.

Relief has Arrived…

Synopsis:

Relief from the heat and humidity has arrived courtesy of high pressure to our North and West. Readings will be near average (the mid 80s) and humidity levels will be much lower. Clouds will eventually give way to sunshine today.

The fine July conditions will continue though the weekend. Abundant sunshine is expected.

The humidity will creep back up on Monday as the Bermuda high starts influencing our weather.

Toasty Tuesday. Spot PM Storm…

Synopsis:

A Western Atlantic high (Bermuda High) will continue to influence our area. This setup will result in high temperatures and humidity. Intense heat is likely through Wednesday. The heat index will approach 110º in some regions. This will become is our third heatwave of the season. The only relief will be along the immediate coast. The threat of thunderstorms is there for both days. The risk is for later in the afternoon and evening. Some of the storms maybe strong to severe. Keep an eye to the sky for threatening weather.

Relief from the heat and humidity will arrive on Thursday with an early morning cool frontal passage. Readings will be near average (the mid 80s) and humidity levels will be much lower. The fine July conditions will continue Friday and Saturday.

Please remember to check on the pets and elderly during this hot stretch. Drink plenty of fluids and try to stay out of the direct sun between 10am-4pm. Wear light weight, light colored clothing.
