Synopsis:

We’ll get to see a decent amount of sun today as the clouds begin to erode. Coastal areas will have the toughest time getting sunshine as the flow will be off the ocean keeping the clouds around. Temperatures will be seasonable (the lower 70s).

The big story for the upcoming week will be the increasing temperatures and abundant sunshine. High pressure will build over the region and temperatures with that strong May sun angle will pop. Highs will reach Summer time levels midweek. The next threat of showers or storms will come on Thursday with an approaching cool front.

Synopsis:

Clouds will dominate on Saturday.  A weak disturbance will move through the region with scattered afternoon showers. Readings will be near the seasonable highs of the lower 70s.

Sunday will be the better half of the weekend. The atmosphere will begin to dry out as high pressure over the Canadian maritimes begins to influence our weather.

The beginning and middle portion of next week looks fantastic. High pressure will build over the region and temperatures with that strong May sun angle will pop. Highs will reach the 80s by midweek under abundant sunshine.

Synopsis:

Low pressure off the NJ coast will remain stationary through today. Skies will remain mainly cloudy. Scattered showers are possible just about anytime. There will be prolonged periods of dry time. It will be breezy. Highs will be several degrees below the average high of the lower 70s.

Friday looks pleasant and bright as high pressure dominates from the Northeast.

The weekend forecast was a bit of challenge between who will reign over the region-high or low pressure. It now looks like high pressure to our North will win the battle. This will suppress the storm farther to the South meaning dry conditions.  A mix of sun and clouds is expected both days with readings a few degrees below average.

The nice conditions will spill over to the beginning of next week.

Saturday will be the better half of the weekend. Mostly sunny skies are expected. Temperatures will be several degrees below average the average high of 70º.

Scattered showers are likely overnight as the next system heads toward the region.

The Mother’s Day forecast is an unsettled one, but the forecast for the afternoon has become more optimistic. A weak low will move through the area from the West. Scattered showers are in the forecast for the morning. It now looks like the system will weaken considerably resulting in drier air establishing itself over the region. Any showers should taper off and end around midday, leading to a dry afternoon!
