Synopsis:.

The Northern and Southern jet stream will be active today. Both streams will contain their own upper level trough and surface low pressure as they move through the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The systems will not phase until they get off the coast. The result- clouds and sun with a few rain or snow showers later this afternoon. The day will be mild.

Colder weather will move in behind the system for late week.

Presidents’ Weekend looks mostly sunny with Spring Fever taking hold as temperatures skyrocket.

Today:

Clouds and sun. Highs in the mid 40s. Late afternoon rain and or snow showers are possible. Southwest to Northwest winds increasing to 10-20mph later today.

Tonight:

Partly cloudy. Not as cold. Lows in the lower 30s in the City, the 20s inland. Breezy. Northwest to West winds at 15-25mph with gust to 30mph.

Thursday:

Partly sunny, colder. Highs in the upper 30s.

Friday:

Partly sunny. Highs in the upper 30s.

Saturday:

Partly sunny and mild with readings in the upper 40s.

Sunday:

Partly sunny-Spring-like.  Highs in the mid 50s.
