Synopsis:.
Today will feature thickening clouds. Low pressure will develop off the Virginia and move up and off the coast. Snow will develop toward midday or early afternoon. The snow will be a mix and rain farther to the South. The snow has the potential to come down heavy at times inland. Closer to the coast and out to the East more of a mix is expected keeping accumulations lower. Any rain to the South will go over to a period of snow before ending later Sunday evening. The “last call” map is above. Again, this will all come to an end late Sunday evening.
There will be considerable blowing snow tonight.
The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Day will feature an Arctic blast. Temperature will remain in the 20s for highs with a biting wind. The sun won’t do much to the thermometer.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be frigid with highs in the upper teens to around 20º. Lows inland will be near oº.
Thursday we’ll still be in the freezer under partly sunny skies.
Stay tuned.
