Synopsis:.
The cold blast will remain with us through today. At least the sun will shine. Low pressure over Eastern Canada and high pressure over the Ohio Valley is the culprit behind the continuation of gusty winds through the period. Wind chills will be an issue.
Friday will be more seasonable with the winds abating under mainly sunny skies.
Areas of light snow or snow showers are in the forecast for Friday night and Saturday morning. The low will stay far enough to the South and East to just graze the region. The Northern Jet stream and Southern Jet will not merge, resulting in a maybe a dusting of snow in spots. The sun will return Saturday afternoon.
Sunday and Monday will be bright and seasonable as high pressure works in from the West.
Stay tuned.
