Rain Develops Overnight. On & Off Rain Thursday…

Synopsis:.

Rain will develop tonight and continue into Thursday morning as low pressure swings through the region. This has the chance to be the most significant rainfall since August! On and off rain is likely for Thursday afternoon. Southern NJ may get to see some sun. One half to two inches of rain is possible by Thursday night.

The coldest airmass of the season so far will move into the area Friday. At this time low pressure over the Northeast will be very slow to move. Another round of  light rain is possible which may go over to wet snow inland for a time. No accumulations are expected except for possibly the highest elevations of Northwestern NJ. Here a coating may be reached.

The weekend will be windy and chilly with sun and clouds.

Stay tuned.
