Synopsis:
High pressure off the Eastern seaboard will continue to pump unseasonably warm air into the region. Halloween temperatures will soar to near 80º or above for the ghosts and goblins. The average high is around 60º. Central Park’s record is 81º, while Newark’s is 82º both set in 1946. It will be close.
On Friday a cool front will move through in the morning. A few showers are possible at this time, but nothing significant is expected. The cooler air is lagging behind the front. Readings will still get well into the 70s!
Cool high pressure will move toward the region this weekend. Both days will feature abundant sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
Our stretch with no rain for the month of October for most areas continues. Many areas are experiencing drought conditions. Conserve water and please use caution outdoors with flammables.
