Seasonal Sunny Start to Workweek. Drought Worsens…

 

Synopsis:

High pressure will dominate our weather this into this week. Plenty of sunshine is expected. No significant rain is in sight and the drought conditions will continue to worsen. Much of the area is in a severe drought. Rainfall deficits are between eight and twelve inches. A weak cool front will pass through the region Wednesday with a few spotty showers. A sharp cold front will arrive Friday with the coldest air of the season so far settling into the area by this weekend.

Today:

Sunny. Highs in the mid 50s. North wind at 5-10mph.

Tonight:

Clear.  Lows in the mid 40s in the City, the upper 20s inland.  North wind less than 5mph.

Tuesday (Election Day):

Sunny and warmer with highs in the mid 60s.

Wednesday:

More clouds than sun.  Spotty showers are possible. Readings will be in the mid to upper 50s.

Thursday:

Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s.

Friday:

Mostly sunny with highs around 60º.
