Clouds to Some Sun Today. Seasonal…

Synopsis:

A cool front will be just to our North and West today. This front has washed out and will result in clouds giving way to some afternoon sun.  Temperatures will be near the average high of 60º.

A weak ripple of low pressure will develop and ride along the front tonight and Wednesday morning. Scattered showers are possible late tonight through the morning hours on Wednesday. The sun should make an appearance by afternoon.

Tropical system Zeta will make landfall over the Northern Gulf coast states of either Louisiana or Mississippi later Wednesday afternoon. The remnants will move up the Piedmont and result in a rainy day on Thursday. A vigorous upper level trough will create a second storm for Friday this low will develop off the Mid-Atlantic coast and move Northeast. This will enhance and continue the rain and increasing wind for Friday. The upper level trough may be cold enough to support a mix of wet snow North and West on Friday. At this time, no accumulation is likely.

On Halloween (which is Saturday), strong cold high pressure will move into the region from Canada. Abundant sunshine is expected with readings most likely not getting out of the 40s. Definitely a nip in the air for trick or treaters. At least it will be dry.

Stay Tuned.
