Synopsis:
Oppressive conditions are expected through Wednesday as high pressure off the Southeast coast continues to pump up very hot and humid airmass. The heat index both days will be between 100º-105º under blazing sun. An isolated storm is possible later Wednesday.
A cool front will move toward the region later Thursday and Friday. Low pressure looks develop along the front. This will result in scattered showers and storms and possibly a period of heavier rain Friday morning. This will break the heatwave across the region.
Strong high pressure over the Great Lakes will provide the region with a delightful weekend. Abundant sunshine, low humidity and pleasant readings can be expected.
Stay tuned.
