Synopsis:
It’ll be a challenge to be outdoors today. Hot and humid conditions are expected. Readings will soar well into the 90s and the heat index may near 105º at times along the urban corridor. Spotty storms are possible this afternoon and evening as a weak front drifts into the region. Keep an eye to the sky for threatening weather after 3pm. Some of the storms may turn severe. Remember if you can hear thunder, you can be struck by lightning.
Relief will arrive Saturday with lower temperatures and humidity. Skies will be mainly sunny.
Sunday will be the cooler day of the weekend with readings slightly below the seasonal averages of the mid 80s. Scattered showers and storms are possible in the afternoon as a disturbance moves in.
Hot conditions will return Monday and Tuesday as a bubble of heat moves in from the South and West.
Stay tuned.
