Sct’d Storms Into Tonight. Local Downpours…

Synopsis:

A moist airmass combined with a weakness in the atmosphere will be responsible for scattered showers and storms into the first half of tonight. Some of the storms may contain torrential rain. 1″-3″ inches of rain may fall in a short period of time resulting in local flooding. A Flood Watch has been posted for much of the tri-state area. Never drive through a flooded roadway. TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.  The action will wind down give or take around midnight. It’ll be muggy overnight under mostly cloudy skies.

A Bermuda high will influence our weather mid to late week. Hot and humid conditions are expected for our region. A stray storm is possible each day, but most of the region will be storm-free through Thursday.

A weak cool front will approach on Friday with the threat of afternoon and evening storms. Until it arrives it’ll be hot and humid.

The weekend right now looks decent!

Stay tuned.
