Synopsis:
Low pressure off the NJ coast will move to South coastal New England by late today. On and off rain with local downpours is expected. It’ll be quite chilly for this time of the year with readings only in the 50s! Most areas will receive over an inch of rain. The jackpot zone looks to be coastal areas and to the North and East of the City. Here up to two inches of rain may fall for the event. The rain will taper off to scattered showers tonight.
By Friday, the low will be off the New England coast. A few showers are possible under a mostly cloudy sky. Readings will still be well below the average high of the lower to mid 70s.
Fingers crossed for the beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday. A mix of sun and clouds is expected. A spot shower can’t be ruled out but JMW is keeping it mainly dry. Temperatures will still be cool.
Better conditions are anticipated for Sunday and Memorial Day Monday as high pressure builds into the region from the North. Pleasant temperatures are expected under a mainly sunny sky by the holiday.
Stay tuned.
