Synopsis:
Low pressure will move up the Piedmont and then off the NJ coast by Thursday. On & off showers will develop this morning and become a bit steadier during the afternoon. It’ll be quite chilly for this time of the year with readings only in the 50s! A period of heavier rain is likely later tonight into Thursday morning (just in time for the commute). The rain should taper some by midday and become more showery from West to East. This looks like a widespread event with most areas receiving over an inch of rain. The jackpot zone looks to be North and East of the City. Here up to two inches of rain may fall.
By Friday, the low will be off the New England coast. A few showers are possible under a mostly cloudy sky. Readings will still be well below the average high of the lower to mid 70s.
Fingers crossed for the beginning of the Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday. A mix of sun and clouds is expected. A spot shower can’t be ruled out but JMW is keeping it mainly dry. Temperatures will still be cool.
Better conditions are anticipated for Sunday and Memorial Day Monday. Pleasant temperatures are expected.
Stay tuned.
Keep it here for a no nonsense, no hype forecast.
