High pressure will build over the Northeast and then slip offshore by the end of the week. Sunshine will dominate. Temperatures through the period will be in the 70s. This is five to ten degrees above the average high of the mid 60s. A fine stretch indeed!
Showers are in the forecast for Saturday as a cool front works in. Sunday will be the better half of the weekend with seasonable sunshine.
