Synopsis:
Today will be thirty degrees colder than yesterday. Can you say temperature swing? Wow. Colder air from off the Atlantic is responsible for our dramatic change. The front that caused this shift is to the South over the Mid-Atlantic. Skies will remain grey but it should be a dry Sunday. Readings will be a few degrees below the average highs of the mid 50s.
On Monday, a strong Southwest wind will prevail. Once again the mercury will pop into the 70s. Balmy is the operative word as showers are also in the forecast ahead of an approaching cold front. The best chance for rain and possibly some thunderstorms is later in the day and in the evening.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature strong high pressure over the Northeast. This will result in much cooler readings under mostly sunny skies as we greet April.
Once again the mercury will pop into the 70s on Thursday as we get warm sectored. A cool front will approach with showers possible during the afternoon.
Stay tuned.
