Early Fog. Balmy. Late Day Showers…

Synopsis:

A Southerly wind will become gusty today with high pressure off the coast and a cool front working in. Morning fog will burn off. Skies will remain cloudy. Scattered showers are possible later in the day. It’ll be balmy with highs more than fifteen degrees above the average high of around 50º.

Rain will become heavy at times tonight. The rain will continue into Monday morning. Over an inch of rain is expected with the jackpot zone over Eastern Long Island.

The front and developing low pressure should clear the coast midday Monday. The rain will taper off at this time. If the luck of the Irish is with us for St. Patrick’s Day we’ll get to see some late day sun.

High pressure off the coast will provide the region with fine mid-March conditions Tuesday and Wednesday. Both days will flirt with 60º.

Spring arrives on Thursday. Mild readings are expected with possible showers.

Stay tuned.
