Synopsis:
It’ll be a tranquil start to the week with high pressure building over our area.
Tuesday will feature another low moving up from the South. Any sun will give way to increasing clouds. The latest computer guidance suggests a little nudge to the North with the precipitation field associated with the low. Snow is possible at night, especially South of the City. The potential is there for accumulating snow, again mainly to the South where the steadiest and heaviest snow looks likely (map above).
Early morning snow is possible Wednesday morning along the coast and to the South, otherwise a mix of clouds and some sun is expected.
A potent system will work up the Appalachians Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Snow or a mix is possible Wednesday night. Some accumulation is possible before the changeover. Thursday morning rain will taper off. Sunshine will increase during the day with above average temperatures.
The week will end bright and chilly for Valentine’s Day.
Stay tuned.
