Synopsis:.
A front will move in from the West on Saturday. Scattered showers are in the forecast. It’ll be mild as a Southerly wind takes hold.
Sunday will feature thickening clouds. Low pressure will develop off the Virginia and move up and off the coast. The precipitation shield has moved farther to the West with the latest run. Snow will develop toward midday and may start off as a mix. The snow has the potential to come down heavy at times inland. Closer to the coast and out to the East more of a mix is expected keeping accumulations lower. The “first call” map is above. This map will change and is not etched in stone. The snow and mix (depending on location) will end early Sunday night.
The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Day will feature an Arctic blast. Temperature will remain in the 20s for highs with a biting wind.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be frigid with highs in the upper teens.
Stay tuned.
