Synopsis:.
Scattered snow showers will end early tonight as a weak disturbance moves through. A dusting of snow is possible in spots.
Friday the chill will ease some as readings get back to seasonable averages- the upper 30s to around 40º.
A front will move in from the West on Saturday. The threat of showers is in the forecast during the afternoon as a Southerly wind takes hold. Much of the day looks to be dry.
Any morning sun on Sunday will give way to thickening clouds. The latest computer guidance suggests low pressure will develop off Virginia and move up and off the coast. The precipitation shield has moved farther to the West with the latest run. The potential for some snow has increased a bit for later Sunday afternoon and early Sunday night. An accumulation is possible but I’d like to get another round of guidance in before confidence increases.
The Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. Day will feature an Arctic blast. Temperature will remain in the 20s for highs with a biting wind.
Tuesday will be frigid with highs not getting out of the teens.
Stay tuned.
