Synopsis:.
Monday morning was the coldest December morning (before Christmas) since 2022. Readings got down to near 10º in urban areas, below zero inland. Arctic high pressure over the Northeast is responsible for our bitter blast. It’ll bright and cold today with highs remaining several degrees below freezing.
Christmas Eve morning may have a quick period of snow between 7am and 10am as a weak disturbance rapidly moves in from the West. Some areas may pick up an inch. Skies will be come partly sunny by afternoon.
Christmas Day will be dry for Santa under mainly sunny skies. Readings will be a few degrees below the average high of the lower 40s.
Seasonable temperatures are expected fore Thursday and Friday under mainly sunny skies as high pressure builds in from the North.
