Synopsis:.
Skies will be mostly sunny today. Readings will be more seasonable- the lower to mid 40s as high pressure over Southeastern Canada influences our weather.
Chilly temperatures are on the way for Friday as cold air moves in from Canada. A weakening Alberta clipper will move over the Northeast as an ocean low pressure moves up and off the coast. This may result in areas of rain and snow showers during the afternoon.
Snow showers are possible Friday night. If a trough develops over the area it may enhance the precipitation field resulting in possibly a coating to 2″ in spots. This is a low potential at this time with the best chance being West and South of the City.
Saturday will feature the ocean storm moving well off the coast with morning snow showers or flurries ending. The departing storm in combination with strong high pressure to the Northwest will result in a gusty wind. Temperatures will be well below average under a mix of sun and clouds.
Sunday will be frigid. Highs will remain in the 20s with bitter wind chills. At least the sun will shine.
Stay tuned.
